Hello friends, how are you ? It’s Isma ! I am very happy to see you again for the second episode of Isma’s Tips! Today, I’ll tell you about a book I really liked titled « The Dream Train , » written by Mason Ewing and Zacharie Malek.
The story takes place in a town called Jonathanland. It tells the story of two twin girls named Ashley and Denise who live in a beautiful house not far from a train. But this train is not like the others because it is an abandoned train and many adults say that you should not go near it. Anyway, there are a lot of strange stories about it. The twins are going to go there anyway, and there, they are going to have a super weird encounter!
First of all, I love the twins! They are 10 years old like me and they are very close. They do everything together, they play, they tell each other their secrets, they share a bedroom. I would have loved to have a twin sister, we would have been the best friends in the world! It’s true that I have a sister and two brothers, so I’m lucky too. But even if they look alike, they have different personalities ! Ashley is fearless, sporty, doesn’t like school and is always ready for an adventure, while Denise is calmer and loves to study. And I’ll tell you in case you’re afraid to confuse them, I have a trick: Denise has a black spot in her eyes! There you go, so you won’t mix them up!
As for the train near the twins’ house, it’s full of mysteries, so I have many questions! The dreams Denise has about what’s going on inside are weird and even scared me a little. But actually, don’t worry, the one inside is a boy and he’s very handsome! His name is Robby and he’s wearing a very stylish outfit. Boys, if you want girls to fall in love with you, then you have to be like him! With their friend Colin, Ashley and Denise will try to figure out the mystery behind the train and why Robby was on it. I love the part where they investigate and I don’t want to spoil it for you, but you’ll say “Wow!” when you figure it all out at the end! I wasn’t expecting that at all! If you read it, I’d love to know what you think of it!
Also, I don’t know why, but this book made me want to read even more! Yes, I know: as Ashley and Denise’s mom is a manga artist, they have always been surrounded by books and manga. As a result, we often see them reading mangas, I’m sure that’s why they are smart! Anyway, Mom always tells me that it’s very important to read to improve your imagination and learn new words!
