Los Angeles is well-known as the entertainment capital of the world, where hundreds of thousands of Americans dream of launching their careers as actors, singers, and models! Al-Amin, an ambitious young man living in the City of Angels, has chosen to become a fashion model. The Toombow Kids team went to interview this ambitious American at his home.
Toombow Kids: Hello Al-Amin, how are you? Thank you for inviting us to your home. Can you introduce yourself?
Al-Amin: Hi everyone! You’re welcome. My name is Al-Amin, I’m 18 years old, I live in Los Angeles and my big dream is to be a model.
Toombow Kids: Nice to meet you, Al-Amin. First of all, why do you want to be a model?
Al-Amin: I think part of me has always wanted to be in this business. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved wearing lots of different clothes, I’m interested in style, I’ve been reading fashion magazines since an early age. So I chose this profession naturally.
Toombow Kids: Fascinating! What do your family and friends think of your dream?
Al-Amin : I am lucky, my relatives believe in me! My family thinks that I can have a great future in modeling and my friends also encourage me. Also, some of my closest friends also want to be models. One even loves haute couture. We all help each other, we give each other strength!
Toombow Kids: That’s great to hear ! But how do you plan to set yourself apart from the competition?
Al-Amin: I believe what makes me different is my passion. For me, being a model is more than taking pictures or walking on a catwalk: it makes me feel confident! I think this shows on my face, which is good for photographs, and that’s an advantage I have.
Toombow Kids: A short time ago, the fashion designer Mason Ewing chose you to be one of the models who will walk in his next fashion show called “Angel of Eternity,” which will be held at the end of 2023. What are your impressions?
Al-Amin: It’s amazing, I’m really honored! It will be a great experience and a super opportunity to see the whole process of organizing a fashion show. I’m very excited and looking forward to it!
Toombow Kids: I’m sure you are ! What do you like about the Madison Color brand you will be representing?
Al-Amin: I think Baby Madison is very cute and I’ve never seen a design like that before. It’s very unique! The shirts look good on everyone regardless of age or whether you are male or female. And the concept of Braille on the shirts is a great idea and something great for people with disabilities.
Toombow Kids: For “Angel of Eternity” next year, you will be walking with models from all over the world, such as the Frenchman Geoffray Oudot who will be the face of Madison Color. How does that make you feel?
Al-Amin: Well, I’m thrilled because I will be able to meet and walk with models who have different lifestyles and different ways of thinking. I think I will learn a lot from them. That’s even some advice I would like to give to kids who would like to be models in the future: always have an open mind to meet new people!
Toombow Kids: Thank you very much Al-Amin for telling us your story. The Toombow Kids team wishes you a Merry Christmas and a successful career in fashion !
