No, dear Toombow Kids readers, you’re not dreaming when you read the title! Eli Tilmann, the teenager who has the most incredible things happen to him here in Jonathanland, has just met two famous siblings of the Kardashian family! And guess what? I saw the whole thing! I know you’re curious, so make yourself comfortable and listen up: it’s gossip time!
A few days ago, all of Jonathanland was abuzz with anticipation. It’s not every day that the Californian town receives 2 world-famous stars and entertainment icons, sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian, in person! I have no idea how our Mayor, Mr Arthur Froufrou, managed it, but apparently he was able to persuade them to come here to promote the documentary series they’re starring in, called “The Kardashians.” Quite a magic trick ! As a professional witch, I take my hat off to him! So what does this Eli Tilmann phenomenon have to do with all this?
The news broke out very quickly and all the city’s media outlets reported that Kim and Khloé Kardashian would be giving a live interview open to the public by a journalist from John News, which was taking place at the prestigious Jonathanland auditorium in Timothy Village, the Arts and Science district. Of course, the number of places was limited and to make it fair for everyone, those who wanted to attend had to register, then the names of the 1,000 people would be drawn at random. Eli had signed up because he knew that Ashley Grant, the girl he loves, wanted to come to the interview. She’s a huge fan of the Kardashian family and her biggest dream is to get an autograph from her two idols!
However, young Tilmann hadn’t expected to be selected for the event, and he was even happier when he found out that Ashley had been too! So he plucked up the courage to invite the pretty young woman with green eyes to go to the Kardashian press conference with him, which she immediately accepted! As for me, my darling strawberries, you know me: I wasn’t invited, but I came anyway, with my legendary discretion and camouflage. Sometimes I wonder if I’m not a chameleon, tagada-ha-ha-ha!
When the big day arrived, I hid in the corner and saw Eli and Ashley in the audience. Suddenly, I heard something in the air, a voice whispering in my ear:
“Follow me, I’ll show you the way to grant your wish.”
Of course, at that moment, I looked left, right, up, down, but nobody was there. I couldn’t make any sense of it! It couldn’t have been one of my dear strawberries, because I’d gone off on my own. Then I looked over at Eli and saw that he was the only one in the whole room who looked totally shocked and confused, just like me. Then he got up, pretended to go to the bathroom and walked away from the seats to the back of the room. I followed him discreetly and in a moment we were standing in front of an imposing door. Strange, I didn’t remember seeing it on the way in! As if drawn by some mysterious force, Eli, who was very curious, opened the door. He rushed out into a long, dark corridor. I did the same, still wondering what I’d got myself into.
After a while, we started to see some light and when we came out, we were in Kim and Khloe Kardashian’s dressing room, right in front of them! They hadn’t seen me because I’d hidden behind a curtain, but Eli was spotted! I was scared for him when I saw a huge security man with enormous shoulders coming towards him with a menacing look… One of the sisters said “Stop” and thankfully the man stopped. Khloe asked Eli what he was doing there and Eli apologized, saying that he got lost, that he was really sorry for the inconvenience and that he’d come here today to accompany the girl he loves who’s a big fan of theirs. The two women looked at each other and exchanged a smile before Kim spoke.
“There’s nothing to worry about young man, it happens to everyone, you just surprised us, that’s all. But you know what? We’ll sign a dedication that you can give to your friend and then a gentleman from security will escort you out. Does that sound good?”
Eli was relieved and thrilled by this news! After receiving the signatures of the two celebrities, he was escorted back to the main hall by a guard, but what surprised him, as it did me, was that it was by a completely different route! Eli told Ashley the whole story, avoiding mention of hearing the whispers, and she thanked him with a kiss on the cheek that made him as red as a strawberry! What if I told you that when I returned to the back of the room, the mysterious door we had passed through earlier had disappeared. Would you believe me?
