Hello, ho ho ho! Guess who’s coming down from the sky with gifts galore? Nope, it’s not dear old Santa Claus, but yours truly, Miss Tagada, the coolest witch in Jonathanland! The only difference is that I don’t fly with a sleigh but with my magical broom, and I don’t have a sack full of gifts but a bag full of fresh gossip! Dear readers, you won’t believe what happened in our enchanted town! Buckle up on your broomsticks because I’m here to tell you the winter scoop of 2023!
So, picture this: Eli Tilmann, this almost 17-year-old youth with a penchant for mysteries, always hanging out with his two sidekicks, Logan Lost and Johnny Glanderwood, had a class assignment to complete—an interview with a person of his choice. Instead of opting for the typical interview with a neighbor, math teacher, or whoever else, Eli had a brilliant idea as bright as a shooting star: he wanted to interview none other than the queen of talk shows, the great priestess of kindness, Oprah Winfrey! This teenager is an absolute fan, consistently praising her kindness, good deeds, and he loves The Oprah Winfrey Show so much that he’s watched all its reruns. Moreover, he secretly dreams that the American personality will one day read the adventures he writes in his journal and give her opinion on them. However, Oprah seemed as accessible as a strawberry in a cave (and I remind you that there are no strawberries in caves)! So, Eli, Logan, and Johnny started dreaming out loud about this seemingly impossible interview… But magic wasn’t far away!
One day, at the end of a babysitting session where young Tilmann was looking after Baby Madison, an adorable 11-month-old mixed-race infant with blond hair and blue eyes, Eli had the chance to chat with Peter Ewing, the baby’s father, who asked him how his classes at Alejandro Moya High School were going. The Johnland teen talked about his project to Peter, who happens to be the CEO of the E One Press media group and the editor-in-chief of John News, the most popular newspaper in Jonathanland. The businessman listened attentively, and guess what? I overheard him say that, thanks to his numerous contacts, he might be able to organize this interview! Eli, of course, didn’t really believe it; he must have thought Peter was just saying it to please him.
Then, one Saturday morning, while Eli was moping in his room, looking at his prepared questions for Oprah, his father Anthony knocked on the door, announcing that Peter Ewing was waiting for him. Eli was surprised, and he got into the car with his father, and magically, they landed at the John News offices, in the E One Press tower. And there, my frozen strawberries, that’s where the magic of Christmas came into play! Guess who was sitting in the interview studio? Oprah Winfrey herself! Eli was overjoyed, and even though he was a bit nervous, he conducted the interview of his life! Oprah was very kind to him, and she even congratulated him on his professionalism and relevant questions. They took a photo together, and the Johnland teen was truly moved; it brought a tear to my eye. Peter Ewing had made this beautiful gift in advance to Eli because he’s a close friend of Anthony, Eli’s father, who is a lawyer for his E One Press group.
