Reytac’s 2 Rounds- the beginning of a cult horror saga?
Ewing Power Production

A cold wind blows across the burning desert… and it might just shake up the horror film world. Scheduled to hit our screens soon, Reytac’s 2 Rounds—a horror film produced by Ewing Power Production and directed by Mason Ewing—is already sparking widespread curiosity. This project is set to be the first chapter of an extended, mysterious, and terrifying universe, aiming to carve a permanent place in popular culture.

The synopsis appears simple, but it’s devilishly effective. Cooper Monroe and his four friends—Tim Taylor, Johnny Michigan, Chris Turner, and Cameron Becko—find themselves trapped in the heart of the desert, where a long-abandoned train station stands. By crossing two invisible circles, they trigger a curse: that of an eternal night, filled with menacing shadows that relentlessly hunt them. Only one rule to survive: never let the light go out.

This claustrophobic thriller promises constant tension, punctuated by scenes of sheer terror and an atmosphere heavy with secrets. But according to sources close to the production, Reytac’s 2 Rounds is only the gateway to a much larger… and much darker universe.

What sets Reytac’s 2 Rounds apart from traditional horror classics is its historical root. The film is inspired by real events that occurred in Reytac, a forgotten little town that once stood in the desert near Palm Springs, where an unfinished train station became the scene of inexplicable and frightening phenomena. The production is said to have unearthed dozens of archives: newspaper articles, vintage photos, rare testimonies—all linked to events dating back to the mid-19th century.

At the heart of this chilling tale is a 10-year-old girl, Gwendolyn Porter, found dead in the Reytac station under terrifying circumstances. Her body bore marks of extreme violence—so much so that the medical reports of the time described the act as a form of savagery beyond comprehension. Gwendolyn will become one of the saga’s emblematic characters, embodying the primal fear that haunts the location.

However, the production company behind the film doesn’t intend to stop there. According to our sources, Reytac’s 2 Rounds will be the first chapter in a transmedia saga designed to unfold across multiple formats.

First, a renowned Japanese mangaka is reportedly in talks to adapt the story into a manga. All the characters will be included—Louis Lopez (Tim), Al-Amin Juma (Cooper), Zacharie Malek (Johnny), Baba Wild (Chris), Eric April (Cameron)—alongside Hollywood legends Eric Roberts and Calista Carradine. All will be “mangafied,” drawn in a distinct Japanese graphic style. Next, Ewing Power Production is also aiming to collaborate with a major video game studio. The goal? To create a frightening and immersive game where the player must explore Reytac station, survive the eternal night, uncover the origins of the curse, and confront the shadows. A choice-based narrative game, perhaps? Speculation is already running wild.

Fans are already excited at the thought of stepping into the shoes of the saga’s characters. The figure of Gwendolyn Porter, with her blood-soaked vintage dress and torn face, is expected to become an iconic convention costume. Reytac may have just found its own “Annabelle.”

With Reytac’s 2 Rounds, Ewing Power Production aims for nothing less than the creation of a cult franchise, in the spirit of horror legends like The Conjuring, Silent Hill, or Resident Evil, blending psychological horror, real-life inspiration, and multimedia storytelling into a rich and coherent universe. And if the light really were to go out… are you sure you’d make it out alive?
