Life is too short not to live your dreams, and some people like Fabio have understood that! This Corsican left his island paradise where he has always lived at age 18 to move to Paris to try to make a career as an actor and stuntman. Interview in the City of Lights with this motivated young man.
Toombow Kids: Hello Fabio! Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Fabio: Hello! My name is Fabio, and I’m 19 years old. I dream of becoming an actor and stuntman, so I took acting classes.
Toombow Kids: What motivated your departure from Corsica to Paris?
Fabio: The desire to do what I love. I told myself that Paris was the best place to do accomplish this. My parents really supported me, they understood how important it was for me and encouraged me to leave.
Toombow Kids: Isn’t it hard to have left your familiar environment to live alone in this great capital city?
Fabio: Yes, of course. My parents are overprotective, so moving away and living alone is complicated. I feel lonely at times. But they gave me good advice, and now I have become more independent!
Toombow Kids: When did you decide to become an actor ?
Fabio: At the time, my father was working for artists in the event industry and I loved that world! I found that it was not like many other jobs : « work, eat, sleep.» It changed all the time! And I became more interested in acting because it allows you to live many lives in one lifetime and I think that’s incredible!
Toombow Kids: Why are you planning to go to Los Angeles for your career?
Fabio: Because I love American cinema. I think there will be more opportunities in L.A. So I decided to go for it!
Toombow Kids: Now tell us about your experience in stunts.
Fabio: I started with a two week training course when I was 17. I learned the basics and I found it exceptional! Stuntmen are people who work in the shadows but do a crazy job! It gives me an adrenaline rush that I love.
Toombow Kids: What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a stuntman?
Fabio: It’s simple: prepare yourself physically and work on your flexibility! And also, surround yourself with professionals!
