This time, we’re talking about those summer friendships you never really forget.

Then summer ended. Everyone went home, life moved on, and somewhere along the way, you lost touch.
But what if you could finally find each other again?
One Platform, Two Names, One Mission
That’s the idea behind Campmate Connection, a new project from the American company Mason Ewing Corporation (MEC).
For English-speaking users: Campmate Connection.
For French-speaking users: Copains Colo.
The concept is simple: help former campers search for people they met during summer camp.
A first name. A last name. An old summer camp. A city. A summer you still remember…
And perhaps, at the end of that search, a familiar face you haven’t seen in 10, 20, or even 30 years.
Why Summer Camp Friendships Matter
There is something very real behind this idea.
Research highlighted by the American Camp Association shows just how important relationships formed at camp can be. In one study cited by the organization, 96% of campers said camp helped them make new friends.
Other ACA research involving former campers has also found that relationship skills are among the benefits of the camp experience that can continue into adulthood.
Maybe that person you spent just a few weeks with one summer wasn’t simply a “camp friend.”
They were part of your childhood.
What About Finding Your Former Camp Counselor?
Campmate Connection wants to go beyond reconnecting campers.
Did you have an amazing counselor? Someone who made you laugh every morning? Someone who helped you gain confidence during a difficult summer?
If you remember their first name, last name, or the camp you attended, Campmate Connection could become the starting point for your search.
Because sometimes, behind one simple search is a story you thought had ended years ago.

And the story may not end with reconnecting.
Campmate Connection is also planning a collaboration with Madison Holidays, the summer camp project within the MEC universe.
Madison Holidays aims to create an experience built around adventure, friendship, and an open-world concept, giving the spirit of summer vacation an entirely new dimension.
