Mason Ewing Corporation

In a world often overshadowed by crises and challenges, some initiatives manage to shine and bring hope. Such is the case with Baby Madison, a fictional hero and the logo of the ready-to-wear brand Madison Color created by designer Mason Ewing, now supported by a major name in the audiovisual production world: Dale Bell. With his long career dedicated to telling powerful stories, Bell intends to shine a spotlight on Baby Madison and all the hope it represents, through a documentary. Toombow Kids takes you behind the scenes of this beautiful story.

A staunch advocate for causes that affect society as a whole, Dale Bell is an American who, at 86 years old, has always highlighted crucial issues, whether through documentary films or educational programs. Having raised approximately 80 million dollars in total for his various projects, among his most notable achievements is the iconic documentary Woodstock, released in 1970, which captured the spirit of one of the most legendary events of the 1960s—not only documenting the famous music festival but also opening the door to discussions about culture, peace, and society. In 1986, Bell produced The Chemical People, PBS’s first two-part program aimed at raising awareness among young people about drug problems in schools. This project was praised for its direct and educational approach, shedding light on a crucial issue with the participation of influential figures like Nancy Reagan and Michael Landon. Bell also made a mark in television history with the series Young Charlie Chaplin (1989), which was nominated for Emmy Awards and received several BAFTA nominations. That same year, he produced The Chronicles of Narnia, a project made for PBS and the BBC, which won an Emmy and brought classic stories to life for a new audience. Between 1991 and 1995, Bell served as executive producer of WonderWorks, a children’s program that won the Children’s Act Award at every edition. In 2002, he directed And Thou Shalt Honor, a documentary about nursing homes that was viewed by 16 million people when it aired on PBS. Among other achievements, the prolific producer founded the Media Policy Center, which addresses societal issues from a unique perspective, far from traditional narratives. In a world where media can sometimes convey negative messages, Bell strives to amplify voices that deserve celebration. But what is his connection with Baby Madison, the infant hero created by Mason Ewing?

It is clear that Baby Madison shares similar values to those advocated by Dale Bell. Madison Color, as the first clothing brand in the world to feature Braille on its designs, with a universal baby as its symbol, representing all ethnicities, fights for the inclusion of visually impaired individuals as well as all children around the world.

Mason Ewing had a difficult childhood, marked by abuse and the loss of his sight. Yet, this challenging path didn’t stop him from rising and building a creative empire. Through Baby Madison, he transformed his experience into a force to inspire others. The creation of the brand in 2005 marked the beginning of an incredible journey, leading to the development of a universe rich in stories and merchandise, such as children’s books, comics, and even video games.

With Dale Bell’s initiative to produce a documentary on Mason Ewing, a new era is dawning for Baby Madison. This ambitious project aims to tell Ewing’s extraordinary journey, from his happy beginnings to a childhood scarred by suffering, culminating in his rebirth as a creator. The father of Woodstock expressed his admiration for the Baby Madison universe and his desire to let it shine. He told Toombow Kids that in these dark times, marked by wars and ecological disasters, it’s crucial to bring hope. According to him, Baby Madison is a source of inspiration for many, and he wants to highlight this positive message through his documentary.

In this documentary, the Oscar-winning producer will showcase the creation of Baby Madison, exploring how the brand has evolved since 2005 to become a symbol of hope and resilience. Mason Ewing’s story will be central, allowing viewers to understand the challenges he has overcome and how he transformed himself into a respected creator in the entertainment world.

With Dale Bell’s support, Baby Madison is solidifying its place as a key figure, raising awareness while entertaining.

The creativity and commitment of Mason Ewing, backed by the expertise and passion of Dale Bell, promise a bright future for Baby Madison and all those who believe in its message.
