My dear gossip-hungry readers, allow me to narrate a new case that has shaken our beautiful city of Jonathanland and involves the former star Shelly Gold. “Hereditary jealousy” would make a perfect headline for John News! What, you think it’s an April Fool’s joke? Tagada-ha-ha, and no, sorry! Have a little patience, you’ll soon know everything. Put on your detective hats quickly, because we’re diving headfirst into one of the juiciest mysteries yet!
It all started at a press conference held by our mayor, Arthur Froufrou, announcing his project to create a cabaret in honor of Shelly Gold, a famous pin-up, dancer, and singer whom you all know if you’ve read your history books well. Once upon a time, this pin-up was the undisputed star of the cabaret “The Enchanting Mermaid,” which was destroyed by a storm, and the city hall is actually considering building the new cabaret on the ruins of the old one. An announcement that pleased the residents of Jonathanland, who really love Shelly Gold! However, the day after this sensational revelation, a most incongruous event came to disturb our peaceful streets: the mayor’s house was vandalized! Its walls were covered with hostile messages towards the upcoming cabaret. “No to Shelly Gold. No tribute to thieves,” read the capital letters. Seeing something like this was as unthinkable as hearing my strawberry friends tell me one day that they no longer liked Madala Magic lollipops or Cocoum Valoum drinks!
Listening only to my courage (well, I admit: mostly to my legendary curiosity), I embarked on an investigation worthy of the greatest detective novels. With potions and whimsical spells, I eventually unmasked the author of these graffiti: a certain Nicole Walter. But what got into this woman with a temper as explosive as an enchanted cauldron? I decided to set up a little stratagem to help Sheriff Hock Duck, who was investigating the case, to catch the culprit. You know me, I’m the best, so I managed to direct the sheriff’s suspicions towards Nicole. And like a cat on a mouse, Hock Duck conducted his interrogation with a finesse worthy of an experienced wizard. Under the pressure of the sheriff, the interested party eventually cracked, confessing her crime. Stay with me, because you won’t believe it!
In reality, Nicole Walter is none other than the granddaughter of Dorothy Walter, a former pin-up who worked at “The Enchanting Mermaid.” According to Nicole, her grandmother Dorothy always told her that she had been deeply affected by the arrival of the pin-up Shelly Gold in the cabaret. Before the arrival of the latter, Dorothy was the undisputed star, but as soon as Shelly Gold appeared, all the attention turned to her, relegating Dorothy to the background. This rivalry nurtured feelings of jealousy and resentment in Dorothy, to the point that she fell ill. Nicole claims that her grandmother always blamed Shelly Gold for her misfortune and downfall. Thus, Nicole justifies her actions by saying that she wanted to defend her grandmother’s honor and express her anger towards the pin-up Shelly Gold, whom she considers responsible for her elder’s unhappiness. A rivalry worthy of the greatest Shakespearean tragedies, admit that it doesn’t lack spicy strawberry flavor!
However, despite these troubling revelations, the “Shelly Gold” cabaret continues to arouse enthusiasm among the residents of Jonathanland. So stay tuned, my little budding detectives, because who knows what juicy revelations the future holds? I’ll keep an eye out to keep you informed of all the latest adventures in our dear city of Jonathanland. And remember, my dear readers, in this world of mysteries and surprises, nothing is ever quite what it seems… See you soon for more revelations!
