Ah, my dear readers! Get your four-leaf clovers ready and put on your best green outfits because St. Patrick’s Day is making a grand entrance in Jonathanland on Monday, March 17! Once again this year, the festivities were vibrant, and everyone put their heart into celebrating this Irish holiday properly.
From the morning, the streets were decorated in the colors of the Emerald Isle. Parades, Celtic dances, and all kinds of games brought the city to life. The residents outdid themselves in creativity to make this day unforgettable. From the hunt for hidden gold coins in the gardens to the wacky leprechaun race, young and old alike joined in the fun with enthusiasm! And among the local celebrities who embraced the festive spirit with flair, none other than the talented fashion designer Elise Ewing decided to dress her whole family for the occasion!
Picture this: Peter Ewing, CEO of E-One Press, in an elegant forest green suit with a bow tie adorned with Celtic motifs; little Kimberly, age 5, looking adorable in her emerald dress embroidered with clovers; Colin, the eldest at 10, proud as a peacock in his specially designed leprechaun outfit by his mother; and of course, the undisputed star of the day, Baby Madison! Dressed in a leprechaun costume with a top hat, he turned every head. Too cute to be true, he triggered a flood of selfies! Everyone wanted a picture with him, and he flashed his most angelic smiles. I swear, what a star, that Baby Madison!
But wait, my dear readers, that’s not all! As usual, I, Miss Tagada, your favorite witch, delved into the origins of this holiday. Did you know that St. Patrick’s Day actually celebrates a Christian missionary who evangelized Ireland in the 5th century? Legend has it that he even drove all the snakes off the island! Today, this holiday is mostly about fun, music, and fascinating stories… Like the one I’m about to tell you!
Everything was going so well until Colin, Baby Madison’s big brother, found himself caught in a mishap that nearly ruined his day. A few days before St. Patrick’s Day, on Friday, March 14, he was so proud of his outfit that he took it to school to show his friends. Even Andrew and Peter, two stars of the blind football team, had complimented his costume, saying the materials felt amazing! But disaster struck… When he was leaving in the evening, his outfit was nowhere to be found! He searched his bag over and over, but it had vanished. Sad and panicked, he asked his parents for help, but despite their efforts, the outfit remained missing.
The next morning, just as Colin was beginning to accept that he wouldn’t be marching as a leprechaun, the doorbell of the Ewing family villa rang. Standing at the door was Melody, a 10-year-old girl, accompanied by her parents. Looking embarrassed, she held out the missing costume in her hands. In a small trembling voice, she admitted that she had been jealous of Colin and his beautiful outfit. Her parents, clearly upset by her actions, also apologized on her behalf.
Colin, far from holding a grudge, gave her a hug and told her he forgave her. Élise Ewing, who had witnessed the scene, then did something that made Melody’s eyes sparkle. She offered her another leprechaun outfit that she had kept in stock. The little girl couldn’t believe it and thanked her a thousand times, tears in her eyes. In the end, Colin was able to march in his recovered outfit, and Melody, dressed in her wonderful gifted costume, joined the celebration too. The parade was a success, and all of Jonathanland vibrated to the sound of bagpipes and laughter.
So, my dear readers, what lesson can we take from this story? Well, I, Miss Tagada, will tell you: in life, honesty is key! Jealousy can lead us astray, but it is never too late to admit our mistakes and learn from them. A beautiful lesson for St. Patrick’s Day!
With that, I leave you to enjoy the festivities, and I’ll see you soon for another adventure full of magic and mystery!
Your devoted witch,
Miss Tagada
