A Life of Light and Creativity
This December, Toombow Kids celebrates an exceptional woman: Marie Francesca Mouasso-Elong. An artist, model, fashion designer, pattern maker, and seamstress, Marie was far more than a gifted creator—she was an angel, carrying tenderness and generosity in her eyes.
Born in Douala, Cameroon, on Rue Pau, Marie embodied elegance and passion. With Cameroonian and Italian heritage, she gracefully blended culture and refinement, giving every fabric a soul and every creation a touch of magic.
An Inspiring Mother, a Living Legacy
A loving and devoted mother, Marie passed on her love for beauty and creativity to her children. Her son, Mason Ewing, chose to follow her path, embracing fashion and creation with the same passion that defined his mother’s life.
Every garment she sewed for her children was an act of love. Using wax prints and other African textiles, Marie blended tradition with modernity, giving each piece a unique identity. For her, every child deserved to grow up happy, fulfilled, and surrounded by love and creativity
Dreams That Defy Time
Marie dreamed of opening her own fashion house, dedicated to dressing the most elegant and powerful women of Africa. She also shared an extraordinary bond with her grandmother, Elise Ndoumbe—a close and loving partnership. Marie was always attentive to her grandmother’s needs, while devoting most of her time to her studio and her art. Tragically, in 1986, Marie’s life was cut short. Yet she left behind an immeasurable legacy: love, talent, creativity, and the rare gift of turning ideas into living beauty.
An Eternal Tribute
Thanks to her, Mason Ewing Corporation exists today and continues to shine. Since 2007, Marie has watched over her children and over the magical world of Baby Madison, a symbol of her vision and creativity.
During this holiday season, Toombow Kids pays tribute to this remarkable woman. May her soul rest in peace, and may her light continue to inspire future generations. The magic of life reminds us that we never forget those we loved—and who left us far too soon.
